Book online using our secure online booking system. Your payment details are completely confidential. All transactions take place on an authorised online payments gateway, and your card and account information is not disclosed to us. Enquiries may be also be made via email or telephone. You may pay with a debit or credit card, or with a PayPal account. There are no booking fees. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card – just click on Checkout As A Guest, without logging in.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure your booking. If you choose not to book online, we cannot confirm your reservation until your deposit has been received. Online booking ensures immediate confirmation.
The balance and security deposit of £100 must be paid 6 weeks before arrival. We will invoice you for the balance about a week before it is due. Bookings made less than 6 weeks before arrival must be paid in full. Payment may also be made by bank transfer. Please ask for details. If we have not received your outstanding balance by 6 weeks before arrival the booking will be cancelled.
We reserve the right to decline any booking request at our sole discretion, either in advance or within 48 hours of the booking having being made. We reserve the right not to fulfill your booking if a payment is made fraudulently, or without the account holder's permission or if you are under the age of 18.
Online bookings shall have precedence over telephone and email bookings. Each booking is made in good faith in the belief that the house will be available to you on the date requested. If for any reason due to circumstances beyond our control the house is not available we are unable to guarantee provision of alternative accommodation. In the event of this happening the deposit and balance will be refunded in full. You will have no further claim against us.
A security deposit of £100 must be paid with your balance due 6 weeks before arrival. The security deposit will be returned, usually with 7 days of departure, less any monies due for damage, telephone or broadband excess costs or extra cleaning costs. Any damages should be reported prior to departure. PLEASE NOTE if you book through TripAdvisor or Holiday Lettings, your security deposit is held by them, and they take 10-12 days to repay it after your departure
If you have to cancel more than 6 weeks before the letting commences, your deposit will be forfeited.
If you have to cancel 6 weeks or less before the letting commences, you will be liable to pay the full rental.
You are strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance as well as ensuring that your belongings are covered. The proprietors will not be responsible for any loss or damage or injury not caused through the negligence of the proprietor.
We regret that no allowance can be made for late arrivals due to adverse weather conditions.
The maximum number of people occupying the cottage is two. We are unable to accept babies or young children. Bookings are non- transferable and the property must not be sub-let. The property must not be used for anything other than accommodation for you and your guests.
We reserve the right to remove any person from the property due to exceeding the stated occupancy, unreasonable behaviour or damage to the property or its surroundings.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Changeover day is Saturday. The cottage will be available at 4 pm for your arrival and you should vacate the house by
10 am on the day of departure. Arrangements for access will be confirmed directly with you prior to your arrival.
The price includes: electricity, bed linen, bathroom and kitchen towels, tea towels, complimentary toiletries. Electricity, fuel, telephone (if provided) and broadband are all subject to fair use. We reserve the right to charge for excess use. Please ask if you would like further details. A notional 8Gb of data transfer is allowed per booking week. Extra data may be purchased during your stay.
Bath robes are provided for guest use. Please leave them in the cottage when you leave. If you wish to purchase a bath robe to take home, please ask for details.
An official inventory is supplied and should be checked on your arrival. Any discrepancies should be reported immediately. Information on this website about facilities should be considered only as indicative content: specification may vary and alter without notice.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND VEHICLES
All belongings and vehicles are left at their owners' risk and you should check they are adequately covered for loss and damage through travel insurance.
The proprietors accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or any injury to any member of your party or property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner out of the let of the premises.
Strictly no smoking within the house or grounds please.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted.
The property must be left in the same condition as it is found. The price includes a standard charge for cleaning. If the property is left in a dirty or inappropriate manner then an additional cleaning surcharge will be deducted from your security deposit.
Your details will be stored appropriately and will not be passed on to any third party without your permission.
By paying a booking deposit you hereby agree to these terms and conditions. Your acceptance constitues a legal contract between you and Martin Myers of 2 Ferry Road Leverburgh HS5 3UA trading as Albany Cottage Isle of Harris.
